Live On Purpose Challenge Day 3: If You Have A Dream, Go Get It

Image result for quotes about failure

The greatest contributing factor of why many people do not go after their dreams is the fear of failing. Anyone who has achieved ANYTHING great, anyone who has CHANGED THE WORLD has at some point made a choice to embrace failure instead of fighting it. If Thomas Edison had believed in failure we would still be living in darkness. If Henry Ford had given up, we wouldn’t have cars as we know them today.

If you look at the most inspirational innovators, athletes, geniuses, and icons throughout history, they all shared a common belief – they refused to believe that failure was the end. Instead they used failure as a tool to teach them where they went wrong and to try harder next time. If you think about it, failure is just feedback; it’s simply showing you what’s not working so you can find out what will work. It’s necessary and can’t be avoided.

If we didn’t have failure, how would we know what to do next? The process of learning from our mistakes is truly invaluable, and is something we need to run toward, not run away from. It’s important to remember that every failure encountered brings you one step closer to success, and that this is a natural part of the process.

Therefore, don’t be afraid to fail. You may not always win, but don’t be afraid to try. If you have a dream, go get it!

I want you to watch the short video below and today I want you to think about one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t. Think about what’s been preventing you from doing that thing? What would happen if you took a chance and did it? Picture yourself doing it and think about how you’d feel if it actually came to pass. Once you’ve visualized it I want you to make a list of action steps you have to take in order to make it happen. Assign time frames and then start working on completing them.

Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ― Samuel Beckett
